The school follows a traditional English education within the guidelines of the National Curriculum, leading to (I)GCSE and A Level qualifications. In addition to this the 3 required subjects of the Spanish National Curriculum (Castellano, Valenciano and Social Studies) plus German for first language speakers. XABIA INTERNATIONAL COLLAGE

Situated in the heart of the beautiful town of Jávea on the Costa Blanca and recognised by both the Spanish and British Authorities, the college is a member of both the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS).

CURRICULUM

Foundation Stage (age 3-5)

Children follow the Foundation Curriculum.

Infants (age 5-7)

Children begin to study the English National Curriculum and Spanish language and culture.

Juniors (age 7-11)

Students continue to follow the English National Curriculum and a full Spanish programme.

Students follow a broad-based curriculum similar to the primary years, but are taught entirely by specialist teachers.

Years 10 & 11

Students follow a two-year course leading to the IGCSE examinations in 8 or more subjects.  These exams can be fully convalidated with the Spanish certificate of completion of secondary education (certificado ESO).

6^th Form

A two-year course that leads to the externally marked Advanced (A) Level Examinations.

The college employs a professional team of fully qualified staff, including native Spanish and German teachers.

Our school year runs from September until June. The school day is from 8.50 until 4.10 (secondary) and 8.55 until 4pm (primary).
